SUPPLEMENTS & CHINESE HERBAL MEDICINE

Why Use Professional Grade Supplements?

Not all Supplements are created equal.

Professional Grade Supplements are lab tested and quality assured to perform the task they are used for.
Store-bought supplements are often jammed packed with fillers and other unnecessary ingredients.

At South Slope Acupuncture & Wellness we use a virtual dispensary for all of our supplements and herbal medicine. This allows us to have quick access to any product we think would be best for you and it is shipped right to your door.

Why Use Chinese Herbal Medicine

Traditional Chinese herbal medicine is the oldest and most comprehensive form of herbal medicine in the world.  Herbal treatments are commonly combined with acupuncture treatments to accelerate and maintain the therapeutic effects of the overall treatment.

At South Slope Acupuncture & Wellness an initial consultation with a Licensed Provider is required to find out if you are a candidate for Chinese Herbal Medicine.

Chinese Herbal Medicine is the oldest practice in the whole of Chinese Medicine. Chinese Herbal Medicine is time-tested as it dates back to 5000 years and is still widely used today as it continues to demonstrate effectiveness to date.

Major medical institutions such as The Cleveland Clinic, Mayo Clinic, and others now incorporate herbal medicine. Herbal formulas come in many forms from loose herbs, tinctures, granules, and tea pills.

Chinese Herbal Medicine is prepared as a formula that is specific to your needs and health concerns.

Here at South Slope Acupuncture & Wellness, we use mostly tinctures and tea pills. Not everyone is given an herbal formula due to various reasons but all formulas are prescribed by your Licensed Herbalist.

We strive to ensure the safety and integrity of our formulas by choosing the best quality products and researching contra-indications with pharmaceuticals prescribed by your doctor.

Herbal Formulas are a fantastic way to prolong your treatments between acupuncture sessions and are often used on a short-term basis.
